The area around Brisbane Water and Gosford features several National Parks, including the Brisbane Water National Park and Girrakool National Park.
The parks have many bushwalks and trails that take you through unspoilt natural Australian bushland. Don't miss the Aboriginal Engraving site in the Brisbane Water National Park.
The National Parks provide BBQ areas and great locations for picnics, either in the bush or on the water's edge.
Brisbane Water, The Hawkesbury and Beaches
Binawee Bed & Breakfast is situated in the middle of some of the best waterways and beaches to be found in Australia.
The Hawkesbury River system is a most spectacular waterway and is well worth exploring. There are several local ferry operators that offer tours along the Hawkesbury and Brisbane Water - you can even catch a ferry to Sydney.
If you like the beach, then you wont be disappointed. The Central Coast has some of the finest beaches on the Tasman Sea, go and relax on Avoca Beach or Terrigal Beach.
While at the beach there are also several coastal walking tracks and trails and plenty of BBQ and picnic spots.

The NSW Central Coast is designed with the tourist in mind and there is no shortage of places to eat and dine.
From fast food outlets to Award Winning restaurants you will find every style and taste catered for.
The Cowrie Restaurant features stunning ocean views and superb seafood dining. Overlooking Brisbane Water is Iguana Joes with Modern Australian cuisine, seafood and breathtaking views across the water.
While in Gosford you can also drop into the Sara Lee Bakery shop and buy direct from the manufacturer.
Central Coast NSW Tourist Attractions
Visit the Australian Reptile Park and see some of Australia's more dangerous wildlife - from Eric the crocodile through to snakes and spiders.
For some unspoilt natural bush, you can see Australian native flora and fauna in a natural habitat at the Calga Springs Sanctuary. Aboriginal culture is also a feature of the sanctuary.
